ENTERING SISTER'S BEDROOM

My 3 yr old son Mikey was banging on his 9 year old sister's bedroom door. Laura opened the door and said, "go away, Mikey". Mikey put his hand on the door frame just as Laura slammed the door. Mikey started screaming in pain. I ran over and saw that his baby fingers were squished with horrible, deep indentations. They looked broken, so I rushed him to the emergency room. Thankfully, the X-ray showed that the door didn’t break his soft bones. Mikey had to wear a splint until it healed, but I had PTSD for months thinking about what almost happened!
